Arch-shaped stone bridges built between the late Meiji period and the early Showa period. Of the 11 bridges that once existed, 5 still remain today.

Takigahara-yaki Pottery Experience

In collaboration with Araya Stone Works, the only quarry still operating in Takigahara, we offer a pottery experience using crushed stone from the quarry mixed into clay. This creates the distinctive texture of "Takigahara-yaki" pottery.
You can freely shape your creation into bowls, flower objects, or any design you like, and finish it by applying your favorite glaze.
Once fired, your finished piece will be delivered to you at a later date.

Once the clay is kneaded to the right consistency, place it on the potter’s wheel and shape it into your desired form.

We carefully shape it while paying close attention to detail.

You can choose your preferred glaze to add color and texture.

The pieces you created will be fired at the Raku-yaki Experience Workshop, Suiun Kiln. Once completed, they will be shipped to you.

Stone Oven Dinner

The Takigahara stone oven is a kiln carefully built using old local stones. Taking advantage of the far-infrared effect, we offer stone-oven dishes made with seasonal ingredients from the Hokuriku region, including seafood, game, and Takigahara's organic vegetables.
You can participate in the cooking process, such as kneading dough or cutting ingredients, and enjoy freshly cooked dishes paired with domestically produced natural wines.

Start by kneading dough for pizza or pita bread and preparing the ingredients.

We invite chefs connected to Takigahara to serve special dishes.

Adjusting the firewood's heat and perfectly roasting the ingredients to their optimal state is where the chef's skill truly shines.

Gather around the freshly cooked dishes and enjoy a moment of toasting together.

[DAY 1] Stone Oven Dinner
Schedule: March 8, 2025
Duration: 2.5 hours
